Early Life and Musical Beginnings
Since the third grade in 1984, Lastman has been rhyming and writing lyrics inspired by his favorite MCs. By junior high, he had gained notoriety as a storyteller and exceptional freestyler, earning the nickname "Master Rapper." Peers would gather around him during breaks and lunch, urging him to perform. In high school and early college years, while his friends made names on the basketball court, Lastman built a reputation by winning MC battles at clubs and open mics. He began supporting himself financially through these victories, earning the moniker "Lastman" for consistently being the champion in final rounds.
Career Highlights
In 2002, Lastman released an EP on vinyl titled "Repatriation Sound" in collaboration with Los Angeles's DJ Drez. Throughout the years, he has made cameo appearances on various MCs' projects, showcasing his versatility and enduring presence in the hip-hop community.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Lastman is a visual artist and dedicated practitioner of hip-hop culture. He is responsible for founding the Southern California-based Calafia Zulu Chapter, demonstrating his commitment to preserving and promoting the core elements of hip-hop.
